On August 28, Dr. Xuefeng Yu, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CanSinoBIO (688185.SH, 06185.HK), gave an exclusive live interview with Bloomberg TV's Bloomberg: The China Show, sharing the Company's latest progress in first-half 2026 performance, R&D innovation, product commercialization, international development, and technology platform building.
Dr. Yu noted that as the Company continues to expand its innovative product portfolio, strengthen commercialization capabilities, and deepen its presence in overseas markets, CanSinoBIO is gradually building a more diversified and resilient growth foundation.

Steady Business Growth Supported by a Diversified Product Portfolio
According to CanSinoBIO's 2026 interim report, the Company recorded revenue of approximately RMB 550 million in the first half of 2026, up 43.8% year on year, while its net loss attributable to shareholders narrowed significantly.
Dr. Yu noted that amid challenging market conditions, CanSinoBIO continues to expand its product portfolio through product innovation, broader age-group coverage, and the advancement of new products, strengthening the foundation for sustainable commercial growth.
The Company now has commercialized products spanning meningococcal conjugate vaccines, pneumococcal conjugate vaccines, DTP component vaccines and tetanus vaccines. Menhycia® (MCV4) has expanded its indication to children aged three months to six years, with a supplemental application to extend the eligible population to adolescents up to 17 years of age accepted in July. iPneucia® (PCV13i) continues to advance market access, while the 24-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV24) has entered Phase I/II clinical development, with enrollment progressing across study cohorts. Tripecia® (DT3cP) was approved for marketing in April, the NDA for Td5cp for adolescents and adults has been accepted for review, and Adsorbed Tetanus Vaccine Tetcia® was recently approved for marketing.
With multiple products advancing across age groups and disease areas, CanSinoBIO continues to strengthen its full-lifecycle, all-population immunization portfolio.
Growing Overseas Revenue Contribution and Expanding International Collaboration
During the reporting period, CanSinoBIO generated overseas revenue of RMB 152 million, representing a year-on-year increase of 4,724.19%, with international business becoming an increasingly important contributor to the Company's overall performance.
Dr. Yu noted that international business has become an important part of CanSinoBIO's development. Depending on the characteristics of individual markets, the Company is pursuing a range of approaches, including exports of vaccines and related products, technology transfer, and collaboration with local partners.
Menhycia® (MCV4) has received regulatory approvals in markets including Indonesia and Argentina. The Company's inhaled tuberculosis vaccine has also received approval to initiate clinical trials in Indonesia and entered Phase I clinical development. Meanwhile, CanSinoBIO continues to explore local manufacturing and other industrial partnerships overseas, expanding its international operations beyond product exports and market access to areas including product registration, clinical development, supply and local manufacturing.
Dr. Yu noted that meningococcal and pneumococcal conjugate vaccines address significant public health needs in international markets. By working with local partners and advancing regulatory registration and market access for more products, CanSinoBIO aims to expand access to innovative vaccines across more countries and regions.
Strengthening Technology Platforms to Support Long-Term Innovation
Alongside the continued commercialization of its products and expansion into international markets, CanSinoBIO is strengthening its technology platforms to support long-term innovation. The Company has established five core technology platforms covering viral vector vaccines, synthetic vaccines, protein structure design and VLP assembly, mRNA vaccines, as well as formulation and drug delivery technologies, supporting the development of multiple R&D programs.
Dr. Yu noted that CanSinoBIO is extending its mRNA technology into therapeutic applications, with early-stage programs exploring glioblastoma, rhabdomyosarcoma and therapeutic HPV vaccines, as well as In Vivo CAR-related therapies. These programs remain at an early stage. The Company has also entered a strategic cooperation framework with deepGeneAI for mRNA therapeutic cancer vaccines, combining expertise in mRNA vaccine technologies and tumor neoantigen discovery and design to explore applications in solid tumors and rare cancers.
From expanding its innovative product portfolio to steadily developing international markets and strengthening its technology platforms, CanSinoBIO is building an increasingly integrated path of commercialization, international development and technological innovation. Looking ahead, the Company will continue to advance product development, commercialization and global market expansion, leveraging its technology platforms and R&D capabilities to address global public health needs and unmet clinical needs, while expanding access to innovative, high-quality and affordable vaccines and healthcare solutions.
